Precision Air Gun Matches now available at LRPC

Air rifle benchrest shooting is one of the fastest-growing precision sports in the country—and for good reason. It combines the challenge of long-range accuracy with low recoil, lower cost per shot, and an accessible and welcoming environment for shooters of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned marksman or just looking for something new, air rifle benchrest offers a chance to test your consistency, refine your technique, and compete in a fun, relaxed setting. It’s quiet, highly technical, and incredibly rewarding—come out and see just how precise modern airguns can be.

Air rifle benchrest is about as pure as shooting gets—just you, your rifle, and the target. It’s a test of patience, steady hands, and executing the fundamentals consistently, shot after shot. Don’t let the airgun part fool you—these rigs are capable of serious accuracy, and the competition can get tight in a hurry. Whether you’ve been shooting your whole life or just want to experience a different kind of precision, this is a good way to spend a day at the bench. Come out and give it a try.

Matches start April 11 - Check Matches & Events - Air Rifle Benchrest  Matches for more information.

3/10/26: Due to the condition of the steel plate on the 100-yard line, use of that target is suspended effective immediately. The plate will remain out of service until replacement plates are acquired and the supporting frame is rebuilt and installed.

The Volunteer signup for the May Gun Show is available. There are only a few slots left, so if you are interested in working the show, sign up now. Use the link in the Member Home page on this website, or check your email for information. Volunteers get free access to the show and $10/hour credit toward 2027 membership dues.

Secretary Position Is Still Open!

We are still seeking a qualified candidate for Secretary.

The Secretary role is a required officer position and is essential to club operations. The Board can appoint a Secretary but we would prefer to have someone willing to take on the job rather than having to draft someone.

The club will provide a recording device and AI transcription support to assist in preparation of the meeting minutes.

If you have not paid your club dues, you may renew through 3/31/26 with a $10 late fee.

Per our bylaws, and as stated on your invoice, if dues are not postmarked or hand delivered to the club office before the first day of March, they will be assessed a $10.00 late fee. They can be dropped of through the mail slot in the Admin Door office. Due are still payable with the $10.00 late fee through March 31st.

New badge stickers expiring March 31, 2027 will be mailed upon receipt of dues payment.

100-yard range availability

Maintenance:

The 100-yard range will be CLOSED from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm on 3/23, 3/24, 3/27 for continued maintenance. This pattern of being closed from 12-4 on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday will continue most (if not all) weeks until the maintenance project is complete.

Rather than closing the entire range, this schedule will allow those of you using the 100-yard range time in the mornings and late afternoons.

Future dates/times will be announced until the work has been completed.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Paul Julian, Club Maintenance, is planning to paint the high and low Skeet Houses. He’s looking for some volunteers to help. Scheduling will depend on volunteer availability. This can contribute to $10/hour credit on your next year’s dues or credit toward Blue Card membership requirements (2 hrs = 1 shift).

For more information and coordinating, contact Paul Julian at 302-750-8889.
