Nov 7: LRPC Junior Program - Advance Registration for Beginner Juniors.
The next LRPC Junior program event will be on Saturday, Nov 7. Participants MUST attend the safety briefing to participate in the shooting. A parent or legal guardian must sign a liability waiver and remain on site during the event.
Advanced Juniors registration is at 9:30 am on the 50-yard range, with a safety briefing at 10:00.
Beginner Juniors sign-in is at 12:30 pm on the 50-yard range, with a safety briefing at 1:00 pm.
After our strong October attendance at the Beginner Program, we are establishing a required advance registration process for Beginner Juniors to help ensure that we do not exceed our capacity or disappoint families who arrive expecting to participate. When the process is in place, prior attendees will receive the first notification to allow them first opportunity to register. A few days later, we will notify other interested families who have joined our Junior Program email list, and we will post the registration information on this website and on Facebook. Since Advanced Junior participation is by invitation, we have a better idea of how many might attend, so advance registration is not being required.
The LRPC Junior Program is a free program for community youth ages 7-17. We provide all required equipment, including the firearms, ammunition, targets, ear and eye protection, as well as supervision.
Board Changes
LRPC has recently had several changes to its Board of Directors.
At the July Board meeting, Dawn Drake accepted the position of Board Secretary. At the August meeting, Rick Brown was elected to fill the resulting open Director position.
Also in August, Lash McCall stepped down from the Board and as Safety Chairman. The Board thanked him for his many years of service to LRPC and wished him well.
At the Sept Board meeting, Marty Hancock was appointed by the Board to fill the Director seat opening created when Lash resigned.
We appreciate the time and commitment all of our Board members give to the Club.
LRPC Junior Program Featured in The Rampant Colt
Our Junior Program was featured in the Summer 2026 issue of The Rampant Colt, recognizing the Elizabeth Colt Legacy Foundation's generous support of our youth training programs.
Volunteers Needed
Paul Julian, Club Maintenance, often has projects that he would welcome some help with. If you’re interested in earning some volunteer hours helping maintain/improve the club facilities, contact Paul at the number below. This can contribute to $10/hour credit on your next year’s dues or credit toward Blue Card membership requirements (2 hrs = 1 shift).
