LRPC Blue Card Range Safety Training
Online Pre-Requisite for Blue Card Applicants
Welcome to the online training portion of the LRPC Range Safety and Firearms Familiarization Course (aka Blue Card Range Safety Training).
The Blue Card process ensures every member understands our safety procedures and can shoot confidently and responsibly at our facilities. This online training is a prerequisite to your in-person classroom session and final test.

• HOT and COLD range procedures
• Rules and requirements for each of our ranges (50 Yard, Training, 100 Yard, and Shotgun ranges)
• Membership responsibilities and club policies
• What's prohibited on club property and why
Your Training Materials
We've designed a comprehensive support system to help you succeed. Use the links to download each item.
1. ONLINE PRESENTATION
A self-paced slide presentation that you can complete on your own computer. Work through the material at your own speed, review as needed, and take breaks whenever you want.

Instructions:
Download and unzip the Presentation file.
Windows: To unzip, right-click the ZIP file and select "Extract All"
Mac: To unzip, double-click the ZIP file to extract the entire folder
Open in your web browser.
Click STARTHERE.html in the folder to open the presentation.
IMPORTANT: You do NOT need to open the “course_files” folder. If you can’t resist, be careful that you do NOT change anything in that folder.
Troubleshooting:
If you are having trouble downloading the zipped file: Try refreshing your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and try again.
If you get "file not found" errors during the training: Try using Firefox or Microsoft Edge browser (this mainly affects Windows Chrome users).

*Why We Give You the Actual Test to Study
The test itself is a learning tool. Working through the questions reinforces the training content and highlights key safety concepts. Be sure you master the information; you will NOT be able to use notes when you take the test in class.
By having the test questions ahead of time, you can:
• Focus on learning the material without guessing about how your understanding will be tested
• Identify knowledge gaps and fill them before test day
• Arrive at your classroom session confident and prepared
• Practice the multi-answer question format that is used in the test

STEP 4: Attend Your Classroom Session - Remember to bring your Blue Card to class!
STEP 5: Complete Your Range Demonstration
STEP 6: Pass the Test (45/50 required) and the Range Demonstration
