Rifle Classes

Light

  • Any 22LR caliber rifle weighing 8½ pounds or less.

  • Maximum 12 power scope. [Variable scope set at 12 power]

Heavy

  • Any 22LR caliber rifle weighing more than 8 ½ pounds

  • Maximum 24 power scope. [Variable scope set at 24 power]

Open Sights

  • Any 22LR caliber rifle using open sights, any weight.

Rules/Restrictions

  • 22 long rifle caliber only. Rifles can be single shot or magazine fed.

  • One front shooting pedestal with a sand type filled bag. One rear support with a sand type filled bag. No return-to-battery support systems, one-piece rests, or bi-pods.

  • Spotting scopes allowed.

  • Wind flags not allowed.

  • Ammo limited to a cost of $20.00 per 50 round box. (honor system).

  • Semi-auto rifles must have a brass catcher.

  • Rifle must be sighted in for 50 yard distance. BEFORE START OF MATCH.

  • Eye and ear protection is MANDATORY!

50 Yard Course of Fire

  • First Card: Sight in target, fifteen-minute time limit.

  • Next Three Cards: Will be for record. Twenty-minutes per card (four record bulls, for 5-rounds each, and one sighter bull for unlimited rounds.)

  • Record Cards are not to be altered or written on in any way other then Name, Card number, Class, Bench number, in designated area.

Scoring

Scoring of targets will be handled by the Score Keepers.

  • Targets will be returned to participants at the end of the match.

  • Match results will be e-mailed as soon as possible.

  • First, Second, Third place awards will be given for the best 5 out of 6 matches. Awards will be presented at the LRPC annual banquet.
